Role: Software Engineer - DSP
Eligibility Criteria:
- 2013 batch B.E / BTech Students
- All Kerala College students are eligible
- Computer Science[CS], Electronics and communications[EC], Information Technology[IT], Electrical and Electronics Engineering[EEE] Branches Only
- 70% marks in BTech aggregate till the last semester
- ECE Stream: Strong in fundamentals of DSP and computer architecture
- CSE Stream: Strong in fundamentals of Operating System and Data structures and algorithms
- No Current arrears/ backlogs-Those who have cleared arrears are eligible
- Outside kerala Students are not eligible
Skill Set:
- Proficiency in C programming (Pointers, bit operations ,recursion etc)
- Algorithms: Basic sorting & searching algorithms, Queues, trees and such structures
- Working knowledge of Linux and “C” compilation tool chain & stages
- Computer architecture: Cache, ALU, RISC/CISC processor architecture, staged pipelining, instruction set, MMU, TLB,
- Microprocessor architecture and assembly programming
- DSP algorithms covering filtering, LTI systems and transforms
- Some basics of multimedia signal processing will be a plus
Job Description:
- Design, develop & port Middleware, SDKs, Protocol Stacks, etc required for multimedia applications in Linux/Android, WINCE, other RTOS etc
- Integrate Software and Hardware accelerated multimedia CODECs to multimedia frameworks (DirectShow, G-Streamer, OpenMax etc)
- Develop device drivers for various hardware peripherals such as Storage (NAND, SD etc), Audio (Audio CODECs,), Video (Camera, HDMI, LCD etc), Sensors (Compass, Accelerometer etc.), Connectivity (WIFI/BT) , DMA etc in an embedded platform using hardware tools (Oscilloscope/JTAG/LA etc ) for debugging
- Develop, port & optimize Boot loaders & Operating Systems
- Develop Android, Windows Phone 7 & iOS Applications for Smart Phones, Smart Tablets
- Working on bleeding edge Consumer Electronics and Wireless platforms such as Video conferencing, IP Video Surveillance solutions, Thin client, Tablets & Smart phones
Selection Process:
- Candidates will have to qualify a written test in either ECE Stream or CSE Stream, based on the graduation discipline
- The written test for ECE Stream shall cover :
C programming language
Fundamentals of DSP and computer architecture
General aptitude
- The written test for CSE Stream shall cover :
C programming language
Data structures and algorithms
Networks, Operating System, Computer architecture & Compilers
Digital electronics basics
General aptitude
- Candidates shortlisted in the written test shall undergo one or more round(s) of face-to-face technical interview followed by HR interview
Salary:

- Writing Pad
- Two copies of RESUME
- Two sets of photocopies of your mark lists
- Three copies of passport size photographs
- Examination fees to be paid to SHREDS
- Gum / Stapler
- Any Photo ID [College, DL, PAN, Voters]
